Are all Seriously Organic products Certified Organic?

Every organic product in our range is Certified Organic. We display our SXC Certification Number #25165 on all invoices and product documentation, so you can be confident you are receiving authentic, certified organic ingredients that meet Australia’s strict organic standards. We don’t just claim organic we are genuinely organic certified.

What does 'Ethically Sourced' mean for your ingredients?

It means we partner with farms and cooperatives that pay fair wages, provide safe working conditions, and avoid exploitative child labour. For wild‑harvested ingredients (like certain mushrooms), we ensure sustainable harvesting that does not damage ecosystems.

What does 'Clean and Green' mean in terms of your processing and packaging?

Clean” means no chemical solvents, irradiation, or artificial processing aids. β€œGreen” means we use recyclable or compostable packaging wherever possible, minimize plastic, and offset our shipping emissions through carbon‑neutral delivery partners.

Do your products comply with food labelling laws?

Yes. All retail products include full ingredient declarations, country of origin, lot tracking, and best-before dates. Business invoices are GST-compliant with our ABN clearly displayed.

Understanding Our Organic Certification

What does SXC Certification mean for our customers?

SXC Certification (Certification Number #25165) is our independent
verification that every Seriously Organic labelled product meets Australia’s rigorous organic standards. It covers our sourcing, processing, and handling. When you see our SXC certified number, you have traceability and compliance you can trust.

What is the difference between 'Certified Organic' and just 'Natural' or just 'Organic'?

β€œCertified Organic” means the product has been verified by an independent body to meet strict standards, no synthetic pesticides, GMOs, antibiotics, or artificial additives. Seriously Organic's products are certified organic.

β€œNatural” or just "Organic" has no legal definition and can be used on almost any product, even those with synthetic ingredients.

What does the 'in‑conversion' period for organic certification mean?

When a farm transitions from conventional to organic, it must go through a 2–3 year β€œin‑conversion” period. During this time, the farm follows organic practices but cannot yet label its produce as β€œcertified organic.” We do not carry in‑conversion products.

Why should I choose organic over conventional food?

Organic foods are grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or GMOs. They tend to have higher antioxidant levels, are better for soil health and biodiversity, and support farming systems that avoid polluting waterways. Choosing organic is a vote for your health and the planet.

Is buying organic really better for the planet?

Yes, Organic farming builds healthy soil, stores more carbon, uses less energy, and reduces chemical runoff. It also supports biodiversity –organic farms have an average 30% more species than conventional farms. While organic is not a perfect solution, it is a significantly better choice for the environment.

Products

What is the difference between freeze-drying and spray-drying?

This is one of the most important distinctions in our industry.

Freeze-drying (our method) is where whole fruits or liquids are frozen then gently dehydrated under vacuum. The result is a pure, whole-food
powder that rehydrates beautifully. No maltodextrins, starches, or fillers are ever needed.

Spray-drying (common alternative) is where liquids or solids are rapidly dried with hot air. To prevent clumping and make the powder flow, manufacturers almost always add maltodextrins (a refined carbohydrate). You won't find any spray-dried products on our site.

Do you really have Australia's only Certified Organic Freeze-Dried Coconut Water Powder without maltodextrin?

Yes. We are proud to be currently Australia's main source of 100% pure freeze-dried organic coconut water powder that contains ZERO maltodextrin, zero fillers, and zero additives. Most coconut water powders use maltodextrin as a carrier. Ours is simply coconut water that has been gently freeze-dried. It’s perfect for hydration formulas, electrolyte blends, and natural sports nutrition. You can shop it here.

Are your fruit powders made from the whole fruit?

Most of our fruit powders are made from whole fruit (including skin and pulp where appropriate), which preserves dietary fibre and phytonutrients. For example we offer whole lemon powder (peel, pulp, and juice), which is far more nutrient-dense. Our coconut water powder are from the juice only but where this is the case we are transparent about every product's origin. If you are looking for a lemon juice powder, please note that true juice powders are almost always spray-dried with maltodextrins.

Do your product contain maltodextrins, fillers, artificial colours/flavours or flow agents?

Absolutely none! That is our core promise. All Seriously Organic powders are 100% pure, natural and additive-free. If you see a product on our site, it contains exactly what the name says and nothing else.

All our products are 100% free from artificial fillers, preservatives, colours, flavours, and GMOs. You’ll never see maltodextrin, silicon dioxide, or other additives in our single‑ingredient powders.

Are your products vegan, gluten free and non GMO?

We are not currently audited for gluten free certification however we DO NOT process gluten containing products and our ingredients are naturally gluten free.

Each product page clearly labels if a product is vegan . All our plant‑based superfoods (matcha, turmeric, mushroom powders, fruit powders, etc.) are vegan. Collagen, gelatin and our whey powder are not.

All of our products are non-GMO.

Why has my powder clumped or hardened?

Natural powders such as ours, especially beetroot, freeze dried fruit powders and coconut water powder, can clump when exposed to humidity. This does not affect quality or safety. To prevent clumping, store in a cool, dry place and use a spoon to break up any lumps.

Willi your products cause any digestive issues or side effects?

Not typically. Our products are made from real, whole foods, nothing more, nothing less. For most people, they are simply a convenient way to add more nutrients to their daily routine.

That said, everyone is different. While our powders are foods, not medications, individual responses can vary. Some people may experience mild digestive changes when introducing new concentrated plant foods, especially if they are not used to them.

Our advice:

  • Start small - begin with a quarter or half of the recommended serving and gradually increase over a few days to see how your body responds.
  • Listen to your body - if something doesn't feel right, reduce the amount or stop.
  • If you have any concerns - particularly if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication, or have a pre-existing condition we always recommend speaking with a qualified healthcare professional before adding any new supplement or functional food to your routine.

Your health is personal. We're here to support it, not to guess it.

How should I store Seriously Organic powders?

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. After opening, reseal the pouch tightly. Freeze-dried powders are moisture-sensitive, so avoid introducing steam or wet spoons. Properly stored, most products have a shelf life of 18–24 months.

What is the best time of day to take Seriously Organic powders?

It depends on the product and what wellness goals you have. Check the individual product page for specific advice but consistency is key to attaining your wellness goals, making our Seriously powders a routine part of your day will see you well on your way!

Do your products make health claims? I've heard beetroot is good for blood pressure, for example?

No, we do not make any health claims about our products.

Under Australian regulations (TGA and FSANZ), we sell our products as food, not as therapeutic goods. That means we cannot claim they diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition including blood pressure, energy levels, or any other specific health outcome.

What we can say:

  • Our products are whole, certified organic foods.
  • Many of the ingredients we offer like beetroot, maca, turmeric, mushroom powders and coconut water have a long history of traditional use and are the subject of ongoing scientific research.
  • We encourage you to do your own research and explore the growing body of evidence for yourself. There is a wealth of information available on the nutritional properties of these foods and their traditional applications.

We're here to provide clean, honest ingredients. How you use them and what you learn about them is up to you. Always consult a qualified health professional if you are considering using a food or supplement for a specific health purpose.
